7th November 2011

Well folks! I've decided to hole up in Australia for it's summer with first stop the paradise like Coogee Bay nr. Sydney. The news is that'll be hitting the sultry streets/bars of this land very soon and hope to infect the joyous Aussies with some of my down home blooze. I feel an outback recording or two will be in the offering as I've got some portable gear ready to capture those tumbleweed tunes that're ready to BBQ! For those of you backhome in the UK...keep warm and see you's next spring. In the meantime I will post the odd blog on my Facebook page. I will be availble for bookings in the UK as of April 2012. www.facebook.com/slimlightfoot.

PRIMITIVE BLUES

The muse is a funny beast it can lead you astray but it can also focus that bread bin of your mind. Slim is about to embark on his next recording project taking in aspects of his Electro-Gospel-Blues ideas. The foundations have been laid for an album that has led Slim to forge a primitive sound using technology but sounding like a Preacher spouting from the country pulpit. "Roll Of Thunder" & "Beef & Horses" are becoming staple tracks to his set. Whilst "Gods Kitchen" is an existential addition from his troubled soul, distorting an old Blancmange track!! Let That Jelly Roll!
